Paint Pigments in Artist's Workshop

(order ID # CT35-03258-F)

While ambling the streets of the Barkhor, the heart of Lhasa, I had the pleasure of chancing across a man named PoPo, a scholar and artist of international renown. After chatting for just a short while I guess he took a liking to me, for we arranged a day for him to take me around to his various workshops. He spent hours showing off his painting, woodworking, maskmaking, and metalworking shops. His staff makes all the paints for their artwork from scratch, starting from mineral pigments. These are jars of pigments, waiting to be ground endlessly into finer and finer powders until they are suitable for binding into paints.
