| I spent what seemed like half my childhood playing with my friend on his family's farm southwest of Iowa City. In recent years his mother donated this land, Redbird Farm, to Iowa's Department of Natural Resources to serve in perpetuity as a Wildlife Management Area. Since it is now public land, I still get to go back and walk the woods of my youth. On one such stroll I found this image, the man-made fence slowly being swallowed up by returning nature. |
