| The open terrain of the desert lets post-sunset light work its magic unimpeded. I like this composition, where two centers of interest, the Joshua Tree and the rock formation, each iconic of Joshua Tree National Monument, seem to carry on a dialogue with each other. But the warm light of the western sunset sky playing over the scene, while the blue of night rises in the background, is what really makes the image. |
