I found this stand of aspens along Illilouette Creek in Yosemite National Park as I hiked out of a backpacking trip into the Clark Range. I used a moderate telephoto lens (105 mm) to isolate the trees against a neutral background. The trees were backlit by direct sun and therefore explode with color, while the background was in shade so it doesn't compete for attention. |
