| I had my spot scouted for potential images of Mt Gibbs, on Yosemite National Park's eastern edge, illuminated in the red alpenglow of sunset. I returned to my spot (a simple turnout on Rt. 120 where the Dana Fork of the Tuolumne River comes up to the road) to find some fine sunset colors on the mountains. I shot frenetically during the fleeting light show, trying several compositions. I'm glad I remembered to look down to see the sunset colors reflected in the blue of the stream. A long exposure, something on the order of one second or more, gives the silkiness to the water washing over the stones. |
