| I find this image fascinating, in part for the reaction it elicits in viewers. There seems to be something universal in it, for I've had many, many people tell me it looks "just like home," even though these people's homes have been thousands of miles apart all over the United States. If it matters, this scene was actually shot in Yosemite National Park in the Crane Flat Campground. Crane Flat is at about 6,000' and thus closes for the winter, but it's my favorite campground in the Park and I stay there whenever I can. After making this image and some others, I snuggled back into my sleeping bag for a snooze before I got up to face the rest of the day. |
