| Green Spring Gardens Park in Alexandria, Virginia, boasts a score of theme gardens in 27 acres. This means a dizzying array of trees and flowers are close at hand wherever you go. And thank goodness, most of them are labeled. I was flopped on the ground to take this tulip-level shot, using a long lens to narrow the view to only the tulips. My wife assisted by holding a diffuser over the small patch being photographed to soften the light, bringing out the delicate pastels of the blooms. |
