| Olmsted Point along the Tioga Road in Yosemite National Park is one of the more photographed places in America. And with good reason. With endless patterns of interesting boulders to ferret out, and the famous Jeffrey Pine atop its highest point, one can cruise around forever looking for interesting compositions. I shot this image in broad daylight, knowing that the boulders and tree which were in shadow would render a dramatic black silhouette. I metered on the sky to choose my exposure. |
